How payments work on your site

Stemfra lets you take card payments and booking deposits right on your website. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account and your own bank. Stemfra never holds your funds. To make this work, you connect your own Stripe account to Stemfra one time.

What your customers see

When card payments are turned on, a customer who books a paid service can pay by card on a secure checkout as part of booking. The charge lands in your Stripe account, and the booking shows as paid in your dashboard.

Where the money goes, and our fee

The card payment is yours: it settles into your Stripe account and pays out to your bank on Stripe's normal schedule. Separately, Stemfra's flat 5% commission on your sales is billed once a month by invoice. We do not take a cut out of the card charge itself.

Stripe charges its own processing fee on each card payment (roughly 2.8% plus a small fixed amount). That is Stripe's fee on your own account, separate from our 5%.

You do not have to take cards to use Stemfra

Card payments are optional. Many businesses take payment in person, at the counter after the service. In that case you simply mark the booking as collected in your dashboard when the customer pays, and it counts toward your reports and your commission the same way.
