Connect a domain you already own

If you already own a domain, you can connect it to your Stemfra site without transferring it or changing registrars. You keep full ownership. Connecting simply tells your domain to point at your site.

How to connect it

Open your domain settingsIn your dashboard, go to Settings, then Domain, and enter the domain you own.

Add the DNS record we show youStemfra gives you a DNS record (a CNAME) to add at whoever manages your domain, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains. This is the one technical step, and we show you exactly what to enter.

Let it take effectDNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to spread across the internet. Once it does, your site loads on your domain with secure HTTPS set up automatically.

If you bought your domain through a site builder like Shopify, Wix, or Squarespace, that platform may lock the DNS settings you need. In that case you may first need to move the domain to a normal registrar (such as Namecheap or Porkbun) before you can point it here. Contact us if you are not sure.
